What is collected, and what is not.

Renewal Register is made and sold by Cale Eggleshaw, trading as JCJ Creations, in Queensland, Australia. This page says what happens to information when you visit this site, buy the tool, or email about it. It is short because very little happens.

01 The tool itself collects nothing

Renewal Register is a single file that runs in your own browser. It makes no network calls of any kind. It has no account, no server behind it, no analytics and no phone-home check. The 1.0 build was tested in a real browser and made exactly one request, for itself.

Everything you type into it is held in that browser’s local storage, on that machine. It is never transmitted anywhere.

No information about any participant ever reaches me. Not their name, not their documents, not their dates. This is not a promise about what I choose to look at. There is no mechanism by which it could arrive. I cannot see your register, recover it, or confirm what is in it.

The tool also stores no documents at all. Every record is a fact about a document, plus a note of where the real file already lives on your own systems.

02 This website

These pages load no fonts, no scripts and no analytics from anywhere. There are no cookies, no tracking pixels, no advertising tags and no third-party embeds. Nothing here follows you, and nothing here knows you came back.

The site is hosted by Netlify. Like any web host, Netlify keeps standard server logs of requests, which can include your IP address, the page requested and your browser’s user agent. They exist to serve the site and to protect it from abuse. I do not have an analytics product switched on and I do not build any picture of visitors from those logs.

03 If you buy

Payment is handled by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe and never to me. I never see your full card number and could not store it if I wanted to. Stripe handles that information under its own privacy policy, and Stripe is a global company, so your payment details may be processed outside Australia.

What Stripe passes on to me, and what I keep, is the ordinary paperwork of a sale:

That is used for exactly three things: sending you the tool, writing your invoice, and answering you if you get in touch later about your purchase. I keep it because Australian tax law requires records of sales to be kept, generally for five years.

04 If you email

Email to hello@jcjcreations.au is forwarded to a Microsoft mailbox, so your message passes through and is stored on Microsoft’s systems under their terms, as email to almost any small business does.

I keep correspondence for as long as it is useful for supporting you, and longer where it relates to a purchase, for the record-keeping reason above. I do not add you to any mailing list, because there is no mailing list.

If you send me an exported file to help with a support question, please take the names out first. The licence asks the same thing. I would rather not hold your participants’ details even briefly.

05 Who else sees any of it

Nobody, beyond the three services already named: Netlify to serve the site, Stripe to take the payment, and Microsoft to carry the email. Each of those sees only its own part.

The one exception anyone can make: if I were ever required by law to produce something, I would have to comply. For your register, that would achieve nothing, because I do not have it and cannot get it.

06 Keeping it safe

What I hold is small on purpose, because the information you never hand over is the information that cannot be lost.

If anything I hold were ever exposed, I would tell you directly and quickly, not by quietly amending this page. With only email addresses and sale records to lose, the list of people to contact would be short, and I would not be guessing who was on it.

If I ever stop trading, sale records are deleted once the retention period above has run out and correspondence goes with them. Your copy of the tool is unaffected either way. It needs nothing from me in order to keep working, which is the entire reason it was built like that.

07 Seeing, correcting or deleting what I hold

Email and ask. I will tell you what I have about you, correct anything wrong, and delete what I am not required to keep. You do not need a form or a reason, and there is no charge.

Sales records I have to retain for tax purposes are the one thing I cannot delete on request, and I will say so plainly if that is what you have asked about.

If you are unhappy with how I have handled something, say so to the same address and I will deal with it myself. There is only me. If that does not resolve it, you can raise it with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

08 Changes to this page

If this changes, the date on the plate at the top of the page changes with it. There is no mailing list to notify, so the date is the honest version of a notification.

Questions about any of this go to hello@jcjcreations.au and are answered by the person who wrote the tool.
